Bryan Mcdonald has excelled in equine disciplines throughout his career. He is highly regarded throughout the United States and Ireland in the fine art of equestrian training.
The following credits highlight just some of Bryan's many accomplishments as an equine specialist to top people in the equestrian world who Bryan has had the distinct honor of working with.
General Education
Graduated with a five-year equestrian degree from The National Specialized Equestrian Training College Equestrian Center located in County Wicklow, Ireland.
Graduated from the school of R.A.C.E. as a jockey in Kildare, Ireland
Hunter/Jumper/ Three-Day Eventing/Dressage
Assistant trainer to William Micklen, founder and head judge of  The British Horse Society  (F.B.H.S.) in Dublin, Ireland. Horses were trained, schooled and worked by Bryan in Three-Day Eventing, Hunters, Junpers and Dressage.
Professional Show Jumper Rider for Ms. Gay Parkinson. Successfully competed the top imported/exported Connamara's in the world. Showed and successfully competed in show jumping world renowned stallion  "Ashfield Feisty"  the top Connamara Stallion in Ireland.
Competed for Ireland and successfully won the prestigious "Bank of Ireland's" Irish Permanent Combined Training competition three years in a row. The trophy on behalf of Ireland was eventually retired to Mr. McDonald for his outstanding accomplishment.
Assistant Trainer to Mrs. Mary McKan, founder and owner of Hartwell's Stud's located in County Kill, Ireland.  Schooled and handled international Grand Prix and Nations' Cup Stallions, "Sea Crest " and his offspring, "Cruising" In addition to working with these top sires, Bryan started many of their offspring under saddle and onto successful show jumping careers.
Trainer and Instructor for Spruce Lodge Equestrian Center, Dublin, Ireland.Trained and coached Joan Samon for the 1996 Paralympic Equestrian Competitions. Ms. Samon won the Bronze metal for Ireland at the 1996 Paralympic in Dressage with over seventeen countries competing.
Trainer of "My Lord Baltimore",  a high level dressage warmblood who most recently qualified the 1996 reining USA Paralympic Gold medallist, Vicky G. Swagert. Ms. Swagert won all of her pre-Olympic trials on "My Lord Baltimore" which qualified her to compete for the USA at the Paralympic games in Sydney Australia.
Steeplechaser and Racing /Stallions/starting Young Horses
Assistant to Mr. Robby Lions of Hartwell Farm in Lexington, KY. where he prepped and showed high dollar thoroughbred yearlings, trained and schooled two year olds for the track for the prestigious "Keenland Yearling and Two Year Olds in Training and sales.
Trained and successfully raced Steeplechase horses for owner, Mr. Michael Keogh's who was chairman of the Jockey Club in Ireland for over twenty years.
Worked as a trainer and exercise rider for over five years for the top Steeplechase Race barn in all of Ireland, founded and owned by Mr. Michael Hurrigan.
 
Bryan currently maintains a string of steeplechasers where he trains and rides as a NSA jockey. He was the 1998 winner of the Virginia Steeplechase Association (VSA). Height weight flat series on Sandbagged, a horse he schooled and trained.
